Ichimoji Sumo
Send any single character into the sumo ring and watch it fight
Pick any single character and send it into the ring. Then just watch: the two characters roll, crash into each other, and whoever falls off the ring first loses.
A character's shape is its hitbox and its weight. A dense kanji like 鬱 is heavy; 一 is light. Opponents can get caught in the hole of 口 or between separate strokes. You can also type in any character you like.
The screen freezes on impact, slows down at the edge of the ring, and cushions fly when you win. Every bout gets a winning technique named from how the loser fell and the winner's shape.
Each win raises your rank from Jonokuchi up to Yokozuna, and opponents get bigger and heavier. A bout lasts 20 seconds at most. One loss ends the run, and your highest rank is saved.
